Adwords Campaign Types

Jul 6, 2016

Google AdWords has different types of campaigns and different types of ads. This is how the types of campaigns work:

Google Shopping Campaign:

Here is where the shopping ads are advertised in Adwords. If you have an online shop on your website you can connect it with Google Merchant Center, and it directly imports the picture, price, and description from the database. Keywords are not defined here. Google will select the products to be displayed automatically as a result of the search performed. As an announcer of this type of Adword campaign, you must consider that your online shop should be well designed to make your automatic ad very precise and attractive for your prospects.

Dynamics Texts Ads Campaign:

If you have lots of content and little time to promote it this type of campaign is ideal for your advertising needs. Keywords are not defined because it’s Google that generates semi-automatics text ads as a result of the search performed.

The announcer can customize the ad description, but the title and the destination pages will be generated automatically. These campaigns operate to promote the whole content of your website. The downside of this is that the clicking rate is a bit low.

Thematic Display Campaign:

This is one of the most powerful campaigns we can use in AdWords. We can make different size banners to be shown as a result of the designated keyword and a theme will be chosen at the same time. Google will publish the banner in the webs that meets both conditions, for instance, If we define “Online Courses” as a keyword, then the ad will be shown on the webs containing those words. Plus, we would ask for the web thematic to be “Education” if we want to add a segmentation. This gives our banners more chances of being advertised just where our potential clients are searching for the information generated by the necessity of our services.

Precise Web Display Campaign:

Knowing our public objective is fundamental to obtain a better result in this campaigns. Here we can specifically detail who sees our advertise and where. For instance, We can determine if we want to appear on a local newspaper site where our company could have a particular promotion for that city.

Interest Display Campaign:

Google holds tags on its knowledge vault that are generated by the frequent searches by the users. For example, a person has an interested tagged as “Travel” and you are promoting a service that matches that public objective. Go to the campaign configuration and indicate to Google your desire of having users like this one see your ad, and then Google will show your ad even if that person is not in a travel related site.

Display Campaign for Lost Prospects:

Picture the following scenario: a prospect visited your web, saw a specific product, requested to see its price and added it to his shopping cart but did not complete the purchase. It is here when Google AdWords brings you the opportunity of a special campaign to bomb all your lost prospects with your ads and increasing the chances of them coming back and completing the purchase.

Display App Campaign for Mobile:

We can advertise ourselves on specific apps with this option. We can also determine the types of devices to go out. The ads can be texts or images.

Video Campaign:

Here is where we give visibility to our video ads. We can publish on youtube or others sites assigned to the displayed net with in-stream. Our video is shown before playing the stream requested by the user and the payment of this campaign only takes place if the video is entirely seen or at least for 30 seconds. The cost for this is very affordable.
