Accessibility Compliance Policy

ADA site compliance accessibility policy

It is the objective of Virtually Present to comply with all federal and state laws pertaining to all rights, as well as the rules and recommendations given by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Furthermore, it is the organization’s policy not to discriminate against individuals in any sphere of public life, including websites and digital spaces.

Virtually Present strives to maintain a website that is both accessible to all visitors and compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) put forth by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

In order to do so, we have:

  • Created a visually impaired or color-blind-friendly website that separates the foreground from background content by using sufficient color contrast.
  • Added text alternatives on images and buttons using simple, descriptive language.
  • Include transcripts or synchronized captions that identify the speakers on videos.
  • Use a logical and intuitive navigation order of links, form elements, etc., to help users find content and determine where they are.
  • Create accessible online forms with labels, clear instructions, error alerts, and keyboard-only access.
  • Refrain from using fast strobes in our web design to avoid seizures or physical reactions.
  • Activated text size and zoom for all browser tools.
  • Use page headers that clearly and appropriately indicate the information hierarchy on a page.
  • Enable all navigation functions to be available for the keyboard.
  • Help users avoid and fix errors, such as identifying form input errors.
  • Give users a way to report accessibility issues, so they can be fixed.

We understand that accessibility and usability are not always attainable in every part of the Web Content we create and deliver, especially for users who use assistive technology and devices. Nonetheless, whether it is in production or has already been published, our commitment to making our Site Content available is ongoing to guarantee that any issues detected are remedied.
